Selected by my fellow trustees to serve as our Aledo ISD Board President, I am proud to play a leadership role in the remarkable success of Aledo ISD. From academic achievements and increased student opportunities to improved facilities and strategic planning, our district has embraced the idea that we are better when parents, educators, and our community work together to build a brighter future for all of our students. Together, we’ve prioritized excellence in education and created the best school district in Texas where students thrive both academically and personally. 

Aledo ISD continues to be recognized by financial agencies and the state as one of the most fiscally responsible school districts in Texas. Through strong financial stewardship, we have lowered the tax rate, increased our financial ratings, and saved millions in taxpayer dollars. Our budgeting priorities focus on directing resources to the classroom, ensuring that students and teachers have the support they need. 

If we want a better future for our children, we must take action to create a world where they can thrive. During my battle with cancer, I found inspiration in the incredible achievements of our students at board meetings, reminding me why I never stopped fighting for them and our teachers. Now, cancer-free and more committed than ever, I am eager to give back to the community that supported my family by continuing to be a strong voice for our families and working to ensure every student has the opportunities they deserve.
