As a parent, I know our children’s success starts at home. Public education works best when parents, teachers, and schools work together. I’ve fought to strengthen this partnership through transparency, open communication, and community involvement. During my time on the board, I have worked to ensure parents have a seat at the table by:

Aledo ISD’s future will always be shaped by the voices of parents. I remain committed to ensuring that our schools continue to reflect the values, priorities, and high expectations of the families we serve.

Parents choose Aledo ISD for its excellence in academics, extracurriculars, and student success. With a rigorous curriculum led by dedicated teachers, we prioritize core subjects like reading, writing, math, and history while preparing students for emerging technologies and future skills. Aledo ISD should set the standard, not compare itself to lower state and national performance. Through strategic investments, we continue expanding student opportunities at every level, including:

✅ Launching new Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

✅ Increasing Internships.
✅ Upgrading Facilities to Support Programs.
✅ Increasing Dual-Credit and Certification Pathways.

✅ Expanding Elementary Fine Art Programs.

Because of these efforts, 75% of Aledo ISD students now graduate with college credits or industry-based certifications, saving families over $2 million annually in higher education costs. I will continue working to expand opportunities, raise academic standards, and ensure that Aledo ISD remains the best school district in Texas.

Nothing is more important than ensuring every child and staff member feels safe at school. That’s why I helped implement a policy requiring an armed police officer on every campus, making Aledo ISD one of the few districts in Texas with its own dedicated police department. Beyond physical safety, I am also committed to protecting students in the digital world. We have taken a proactive approach to security, including:

✅ Upgrading Security Measures and Campus Safety.
✅ Designing Schools with Advanced Security Features.
✅ Enhancing Officer Training and Resources.
✅ Managing Screen Time and Blocking Inappropriate Content.
✅ Supporting Classroom Cell Phone Bans.

✅ Protecting Students from the Dangers of Artificial Intelligence.

Additionally, parents can access detailed information on the district website about how their child's data is handled.

Just like families manage their household budgets, I firmly believe that when funds decrease, we must find ways to reduce expenses. When revenue increases, our district should prioritize teacher compensation, paying down bonds, setting aside funds for unexpected challenges, and easing the tax burden on families. As a trustee, I have worked to ensure that the district’s top budget priority is always the classroom. Since I was elected, we have:

✅ Lowered Property Tax Rates.

✅ Earned Top State Fiscal Responsibility Ratings.
✅ Paid Down Bonds Early, Saving Millions in Interest.
✅ Improved the Construction Process.
✅ Improved the District’s Bond Rating.
✅ Maintained a Strong Record of Clean Audits. 

✅ Implemented Zero Based Budgeting.

Rapid community growth and a complex school finance system create ongoing budget challenges. That’s why we must maintain a conservative, strategic approach to financial planning to keep Aledo ISD financially strong and prepared for the future. 

As the husband of a special education teacher, I see firsthand the dedication and hard work that educators put into their students. Supporting teachers isn’t just the right thing to do, it’s essential to keeping Aledo ISD a destination district for top talent. During my time on the board, we have:

✅ Increased the starting teacher salary from $48,950 to $60,200.
✅ Boosted Pay for Paraprofessionals, Bus Drivers, Maintenance, and All Employees.
✅ Reduced Unnecessary Mandates.
✅ Invested in Professional Development.

✅ Modified the District Calendar to Support Teachers.

✅ Created Circle of Greatness Employee Recognition Program.

✅ Opened the Aledo ECA to Provide Affordable Childcare for Educators.

Teachers are the foundation of a child’s education. By investing in them, we are not just supporting our educators, we are investing in the future of our children and the success of Aledo ISD.

As Aledo ISD grows, we must ensure uncrowded, high-quality learning environments while maintaining fiscal responsibility to protect homeowners. With my construction industry experience, I have helped navigate major projects while saving millions through competitive bidding and reducing costs without sacrificing quality. To stay ahead of rapid growth, we have:

✅ Protected Traditions and our Culture of Excellence.
✅ Established Community-led Committees for District Growth.
✅ Secured Land Donations, Saving Taxpayers Millions.
✅ Partnered with Local Government on Infrastructure.
✅ Ensured Fiscal Responsibility to Minimize Taxpayer Impact. 

While our community continues to grow, I remain committed to preserving the small-town values and sense of community that make Aledo ISD so special.

Big government is on the rise, and we must stand up to protect our community’s right to make decisions for our own schools. I’ve built strong relationships with legislators and have traveled to Austin and Washington D.C. numerous times to champion reforms that matter most to the families of Aledo ISD, including:

✅ Securing More Resources for All Students.
✅ Advocating for Pay Raises for Teachers and Staff.
✅ Pushing for Property Tax Relief.
✅ Protecting Parental Rights.
✅ Fighting for Local Control.
✅ Repealing Burdensome Mandates.
✅ Replacing STAAR with Local Accountability 

We must work with leaders at all levels to empower parents, strengthen schools, and restore local decision-making. Together, we can secure resources, maintain accountability, and protect family rights. 

Special education is personal to me, as an advocate, the husband of a special education teacher, and someone with family and friends with special needs. I’ve witnessed the dedication of educators, and the challenges families face when the system falls short. Despite its importance, Texas underfunds special education by $2 billion annually, and IDEA hasn’t been reauthorized since the Bush administration. That’s why I’ve personally traveled to Washington, D.C. and Austin to fight for better funding. In Aledo ISD, we have: 

✅ Created more Inclusive Opportunities for All Students.

✅ Expanded the Special Education Budget.
✅ Allocated $2 million Annually Beyond State Funding.
✅ Identified Students with Previously Overlooked Disabilities.
✅ Improved Accessibility to Buildings and Playgrounds.

✅ Created Parent Committees for Special Education.

I will continue fighting locally and nationally to ensure every child has the support they need to grow their greatness.

Extracurricular activities are a critical part of a child's education, teaching teamwork, leadership, and perseverance. In Aledo ISD, over 75% of students participate in extracurricular programs, and our investment in these opportunities has led to incredible success.

Our students deserve every opportunity to grow, compete, and succeed. I will continue fighting to make that happen.

Effective leadership requires both collaboration and accountability. As a trustee, I have worked to ensure that the board and district administration work together while maintaining strong oversight to keep leadership accountable. While the administration manages daily operations, the board must ensure that decisions align with Aledo ISD’s vision, board policies, and community values. I am committed to ensuring our district:

✅ Keeps the Community Informed.
✅ Communicates Clearly with Parents and Stakeholders.
✅ Provides Full Transparency.
✅ Ensures Decisions Reflect Community Expectations.

I am proud to have a strong working relationship with our superintendent and school board, but I will never be a rubber stamp or compromise my principles. I will always be a strong voice for our community, ensuring Aledo ISD remains a model of excellence, accountability, and responsible leadership.
